STEPHEN AMER: Loves most types of Jazz, especially swing, modern and big band and is a huge fan of George Benson, Kurt Elling and Jamiroquai. He has signed the official secrets act, completed two marathons and a triathlon but still needs a sat nav to even find the toilet. He likes horror films, the smell of cooked bacon, flight cases, Calibri and Tahoma fonts (and always a sucker for a new one), Sky+, old time radio plays and coffee and red wine (although not together!) Stephen dislikes Comic Sans font, athletes foot, big shopping lists (keep it manageable and realistic – get in/get out), animal cruelty, pen’s pointing in opposite ways and negativity. He is a librarian in another life and would love to sing for you at your wedding.
PAUL AMER: Loves the Blues but insists that’s not why he is such a grump! Paul was once pushed out of a plane 2 miles high in the air and is also the lead singer with Adam Faith’s original band, ‘The Roulettes’. He lives on a boatyard in the heart of the Norfolk broads and so it maybe follows that he enjoys camping, canoeing, sailing and other outdoorsy type things. Paul likes mimicking people, Vietnam films, the point where blues, folk and jazz split and the smell of new shoes. He dislikes lights left on, paper cuts, speed-bumps, litter and Tom Toms ‘planning a new route’. Paul is a passive attention seeker and loves to engage with people through singing.
BIM AINSLIE: Likes to listen to most styles of music. He was trained in classical singing and enjoys passing his knowledge on to others which he does through a Glee style choir he runs at a Norfolk school. Bim’s real name is Damien. It was Benjamin but his older brother Darryl could only manage Bim and it stuck – confused?! He loves most sports and was national champion in BMX racing when he was 9 – with the moniker ‘Bionic Bim’ emblazoned on his back. His likes are honesty, Marmite, the Muppets and other girly films and dislikes include people cracking knuckles, being late (although he always manages it!), hot curries, poor refereeing and writing about himself. He was once a carpenter and this bio hits the nail on the head.
RICHARD AINSLIE: Enjoys most Classical music, in particular Mozart, Saint-Saens and Borodin. Rich teaches Philosophy and Theology by day and studied classical Greek, Biblical Hebrew and Latin at university (seriously!) and has also studied Aramaic and Heiroglyphics. He was once involved in an incident which ended up seeing his knee firmly wedged between a forklift truck and a tonne of peas........ not his doing – he insists. He likes strong cheeses, Korg keyboards, cufflinks and holding the camera and dislikes Marmite, rubbish grammaticals and Oxford winning the boat race. Rich has a home studio with a lot of outboard gear – he isn’t a tech-head but does admire a good rack. Richard really enjoys meeting people that he comes into contact with as a result of the groups travels.
