1950s American ‘Street Corner Soul’, like Barbershop before it, was a truly organic and accessible way to come together and make music.

Its massive popularity gave birth to Doo-Wop, which, in turn evolved into Bebop and Early Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The vast influence of these styles can be seen in the work of the Four Seasons, Dion & the Belmonts, Frankie Lyman & the Teenagers and The Platters, to name a few.

A time before popular music changed forever, when the emphasis of the music was quite simply the voice.

The TestostaTones are an acapella family quartet, who were founded as a result of a love of these 50s harmonies.

Performing with a dynamism and energy that might only come from a family group which can rely on intuition, they cover such 50s classics as ‘Life Could be a Dream’, ‘Earth Angel’, ‘In the Still of the Night’
and ‘Blue Moon’, among many others.

They also write, record and perform their own songs in the style of this popular sub-genre, visiting along the way such styles as Classic Rock, Gospel and Rockabilly.

They sound and look authentically 50s and have been described as:
Fifties

“...the missing track from a Scorcese movie...”

“...offering a genuine glimpse of a decade of unparalleled cool...”

WAYNE HEMINGWAY personally requested their performance at his 2011 ‘Vintage by Hemingway’ festival in London’s Southbank.

SI CRANSTOUN (singer of ‘Dynamo’):
“I couldn’t believe it when those guys got up and did all that, with no backing at all – incredible. You don’t hear or see that very often ladies and gentlemen”.

SIMON MAYO:
"That’s fantastic - that's a work of art. That was terrific."

Being an acapella act, the TestostaTones travel light whether home or abroad and have the flexibility to perform to any specification, including:
